It is often said that ‘you shouldn't judge a book by its cover' and, although the front of this charming detached property is fascinating, you definitely need to step over the threshold to truly appreciate everything this stunningly renovated and extended five double bedroom family home has to offer. The white painted house is set back from the road with a large block paved frontage flanked by a lawn and where you can park half a dozen cars. It leads to a vast double arched covered porch with porcelain floor tiles and an attractive front door that opens into the spacious hall with Karndean flooring that flows through much of the ground floor of this beautiful seaside residence.

As you walk through the hall into the stunning triple aspect open plan lounge/dining/kitchen areas you can begin to appreciate the care and attention to detail and the high end fixtures and fittings. The lounge has half height panelled walls while in the dining area there is a large skylight and five bi-folding doors to the lower terrace. The superb kitchen includes a large central island/breakfast bar with a quartz worktop while the charming pale grey units house an American fridge freezer, a gas hob, a built in double oven and an integrated dishwasher as has an adjacent fitted utility room. Also on the ground floor is a shower room and a snug/double bedroom.

The first floor has a dual aspect family bathroom as well as three double bedrooms including the first bedroom with French doors to a balcony and on the second floor there is another double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling. The sophisticated rear garden is very low maintenance and includes a charming summerhouse, a good sized lawn and lower and upper porcelain tiled terraces.

What the Owner says:

We bought this property a few years ago and it was somewhat old fashioned and in need of updating. So we have been delighted to not only bring it into the 21st century but also to extend it to provide a wonderful home that new owners can walk straight into without having to do anything but install their own furniture.

We bought the house as we love the position of the property as it is only a short stroll to the clifftop and the George VI Memorial Park if you want to take a dog for a run, while the children can enjoy the sandy beach at Dumpton Gap. At the same time we are not far from Broadstairs town centre with its wide range of individual shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants and only a mile from Dumpton Park Station, although journey times are a little longer than if you go to Ramsgate station. From Ramsgate you can get the high speed train to London in about an hour and a quarter. Broadstairs is a delightful town with annual events such as Folk Week, the Dickens Festival and the Food Fair. It also includes a local cinema and theatre, the excellent North Foreland Golf club, a bowls, tennis, rugby and cricket club and is not far from the Westwood Cross shopping centre, health clubs and a cinema and casino complex. There are also some good primary and grammar schools in the vicinity as well as excellent private schools.
