Within just a twenty minute drive you have the Plough arts centre / theatre, Dartington Crystal and The Royal Horticultural society gardens "Rosemoor". Halsden nature reserve can be found at the other end of the village. Here you can enjoy miles of woodland walks following the meandering course of the river Torridge, a truly beautiful place to unwind. Not forgetting the locally renowned Tarka Trail, a footpath/cycle way mainly built on the bed of a disused railway where all the gradients are gentle. It winds its way through some stunning woodland along the course of the River Torridge past Beam Weir, where Henry Williamson?s Tarka the Otter was born, from which the trail gains its name. It continues past Bideford and along the coast to Barnstaple where it splits and one leg turns inland again following the portion of the railway which is still in use, the other continues on the bed of the disused railway and onto Ilfracombe.
This beautifully presented bungalow is much loved, very well maintained and provides you with a real feeling of belonging. Its bright and airy, spacious and private but most importantly homely. In the modern era its efficient to run as well which is proven by its high energy rating helped with the use of solar panels. Looking for a heat boost it also comes with a ready installed log burning stove ideal to warm your toes whilst enjoying a glass of your favourite tipple on those cold winter evenings. If you are a keen gardener it has it covered. The garden wraps around the bungalow and has an abundance of attractive shrubs as well as vegetable beds if you prefer to grow your own. The bungalow enjoys a peaceful cul-de-sac location free from the disturbance of passing traffic and yet is only a sedate 5 minute walk to the centre of the village.
Ticking boxes aside, it is in my experience that the feel of the home is what will make you buy it. Only by this lovely bungalow you will know if it is "the one". I strongly urge you to take the time to experience it for yourself and would love the opportunity to meet with you there to help embed what you see on paper in the flesh.
