Agents Notes    Owners Comments -

'We have loved getting to know our surrounding neighbours who’ve been here much longer than we have and include fellow professionals with young children. As for daily life, we have loved the bakery down the road, M&S for your treats, and Lidl for everything else. Not to mention the abundance of brilliant parks, an easy 10 min walk from a train station, our much-loved Moorland Road high street, and a lovely 30 min stroll along the river to the town centre."

Historical Notes -

The streets off Shophouse Rd (originally Sheephouse Lane as it was the drovers track from Southdown/Whiteway sheep pastures) were built as overspill housing from Oldfield Park at the turn of the century (1901 - 1904) and the available parish maps (1840 and 1884) show this land marked as orchards, with a timber yard towards the football ground and market gardens on the opposite side of Shophouse Rd. The first listed occupier of this house was Mrs Mary Graham in 1908, followed by George Henry Cook (labourer).
