We have lived in our early Victorian house for over 20 years. We adore the beauty of the period features, the double-aspect lounge room with marble fireplaces, shutters, and chandeliers. The layout of the house over four floors allows everyone some personal space and lots of shared living areas.

We’ve lovingly refurbished our house with high-quality materials, and soft colours which complement the age of the house. The bathroom is newly renovated with the whole interior painted and new stair carpets.  Considering we are in the inner city we are lucky to have such a long garden.  There is more than enough room for a trampoline, ping pong table and a BBQ.

Rees Street is in the Arlington conservation area and is part of the welcoming, buzzy ‘Arlington Association’. It is a lovely community and we have loved being great friends with so many of our neighbours.

Our street is a rarity as it benefits from no-through traffic and double-width streets, with pretty houses lining each side. We appreciate that London is at our fingertips, a walk to Moorgate Station would take 15 mins and Angel tube is 12 minutes along the Regent’s Canal. Highbury and Old Street tubes are close by as well as multiple excellent bus routes.

One street along you can find the award-winning Arlington Square.  This hosts summer fetes and Christmas carols and other cultural events.   The area is full of children's activities and is close to theatres, galleries, and restaurants.  There is a variety of good local schools both state and private.
