Kennet Island was an obvious choice for my first home. I was attracted by the design, the local shops and services and the proximity to Reading and the M4. I lived very happily in the apartment for four years and enjoyed watching the development grow into the thriving, supportive community that it is today. The development is well maintained by the management company and looks as good today as it did when I bought the property. After four years of living at Kennet Island I was sent abroad for work, in a move that was meant to be for two years, but which has turned out to be permanent! When I left the UK, I put the property up for rent. It rented very quickly and over the years has been a very easy apartment to rent out and to manage, delivering good returns. Now that I am making my permanent home in France it's time for me to say goodbye to Kennet Island but I will keep happy memories of both living there and being a landlord there.

What a superb location - tucked away behind the main plaza with all the shops and transport links right by the front door. The flat itself is in excellent condition with wooden flooring and a modern kitchen suite. The pint of milk or loaf of bread is never far away either with the Londis located on the ground floor of Merrick House and the bus links into town are fantastic with the bus stop literally just outside this particular apartment block. Reading station is easily accessible and the much anticipated Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) is now open offering fast connectivity across London as far east as Essex.
