The Glade is an imposing individual detached house in an elevated position at Brimscombe. This popular location allows for superb views across the valley at the front, with hundreds of acres of National Trust land found just up the hill at Minchinhampton and Rodborough commons. The property is built from reconstituted stone under a pitched tiled roof using traditional methods, and was rewired, re plumbed and partially re roofed in 2009. It has been a happy home for the current owners for many years, and they have have now downsized to a smaller property locally, and so are able to offer The Glade to the market with no onward chain.

The well balanced accommodation is arranged over two floors. An entrance hall, study, dining room, connecting 20' sitting room with fireplace, conservatory, 13' kitchen/breakfast room, utility room and cloakroom/W.c are on the ground floor. A staircase leads up from the hall to the first floor, with a landing, principal bedroom with en suite shower, family bathroom and three further bedrooms on this level. The house is well maintained, and the outlook from the windows at the front is first rate. A super family home offered to the market chain free, and certainly one for your viewing list.

The interior is complemented by a long gated drive, attached garage and store and a generous plot. The drive leads up from the lane and widens by the house, with space to park several cars. A 14' x 13'  garage is to the left of the property, with a useful brick built store room attached to this. The current owners have made good use of the front garden, and have made raised vegetable beds here. The rest of this area is laid to lawn, and this front area is edged with well planted borders, stocked with a variety of plants and trees. The rear garden is a lovely space, with the old stone quarry face as a backdrop. There is a paved area directly behind the house, and a lawn beyond. Another paved area is at the back of this level area, and then steps lead up to a top terrace, and then up to the quarry face. Again, this area is full of colourful, established trees and shrubs.

The closest amenities are just down the hill at Brimscombe Corner. This includes a general store and a take away. The Ship Inn is opposite, serving good food and beer. Brimscombe primary school is just down the road on Brimscombe Hill. Stroud town is approximately three miles distant. Stroud town benefits from a variety of local independent shops and stores, art galleries, pubs serving locally supplied beers and ciders and plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to eat and socialise at. The wider area has a wide range of shops and amenities, including supermarkets, a hospital, state and private schools, a leisure and sports centre, award winning weekly farmers market and a main line railway station with inter city services travelling to London (Paddington). Cirencester (10 miles), Cheltenham (15 miles) and Swindon (25 miles) are all within comfortable driving distance.
