When I first stepped into this cosy home, I was captivated by the stylish kitchen, the open layout, and the warm ambience. It instantly felt like a place where memories could flourish.

As much as I adore this home, it’s time for a new chapter. My daughter and I have cherished every moment here, but life has presented us with exciting opportunities elsewhere. We hope the next owners will find as much joy as we have.

Over the past decade, this property has been our home—a place of laughter, growth, and comfort. Ten years of shared stories, birthday parties, quiet evenings, and fun times with family and friends.

Recently, we lovingly refreshed the interiors. Soft neutral tones of white and grey opened up the spaces to a lovely modern feel. We always receive compliments from others about how comfortable and relaxing the atmosphere is here. The property has a conservatory, which has been a valued additional space used as an additional play area for my daughter, and extra storage space, and since lockdown, it is now often used as an office when working from home. I had the garden paved, which allowed me to spend many days sleeping in the garden, enjoying the summer sun.

There is also a lovely and spacious loft room that is used as an additional bedroom for my daughter for sleepovers and her own hangout area. Again, this space provides a huge amount of additional storage for big items.

My daughter, now eleven, has grown up within these walls; this home has witnessed her journey. The nearby schools and safe neighbourhood made it an ideal place for her upbringing.

The house is a stone’s throw from most things you need: a post office, an array of local food shops, and local newsagents at the top of the room. It is also within a 10-minute walk to a GP surgery, a pharmacy, and the local hospital. The local town centre is a 15-minute bus ride or 25-minute walk away. Both West and East Croydon train and overground stations are close by, with several bus links to get you to many places, including 15 minutes from East Croydon to Gatwick Airport! Whether it’s work or a weekend getaway, we’ve appreciated the seamless connections.

It is a great house for first-time buyers or those just starting a family, and the people who live on the road are friendly and look out for each other, which creates a lovely sense of community. I’ll also miss the convenience of having most things you need literally on your doorstep.

In parting, I’ll miss the feeling of home that I felt when I stepped through the front door for the last decade in my first house. May the next occupants find as much happiness here as we have.
