***Vendors comments *** "Welcome to our lovely home on Burlington Road. We’ve spent a lot of time and care redecorating it and now it’s ready for someone new to enjoy. It’s a spacious three-bedroom family house with just over 1,000 sq ft of living space, offering plenty of room to grow into.
On the ground floor, the lounge is one of my favourite spots. It gets lots of natural light through the bay window, and we’ve kept the beautiful original coving and ceiling rose, which give the room real character. We also added modern black glass doors to bring a fresh and stylish feel.
The second reception room is really versatile. We’ve used it as a home office and music room, but it could just as easily be a playroom or a cosy snug depending on your needs.
The kitchen/diner is truly the heart of the home. We chose blue base units and clean white wall cabinets, paired with a warm wooden worktop that ties everything together beautifully. All the appliances are integrated, and there’s plenty of room for a dining table - perfect for family meals or entertaining guests.
Upstairs, we continued the high-quality finish with premium carpets and underlay in all the bedrooms. The master bedroom is very spacious (14’9” x 13’11”) and offers ample room for wardrobes and even a dressing area. The second and third bedrooms still feature their lovely original fireplaces, which we were keen to preserve to maintain the home’s period charm.
Outside, there’s a good-sized garden that we’ve really enjoyed, especially during the warmer months. It’s peaceful, private and great for relaxing. We also installed solar panels, which have completely covered our electricity bills and even generate additional income. The driveway is secure thanks to the retractable bollard and it comfortably fits two cars.
The location has worked brilliantly for us. It’s a quiet, friendly road with a fantastic community. Everything you need is nearby - great schools, supermarkets, and excellent transport links to Central London. We’re close to Thornton Heath, Norwood Junction and Crystal Palace stations, so getting around has always been easy and convenient.
We’ve truly loved living here and we hope the next owners will feel just as at home as we have."
