Builth Wells (4 miles away) has excellent market town facilities, as well as being the location for the famous Royal Welsh Showground which provides wonderful events throughout the year culminating in the four day Royal Welsh Show which is at the end of July. Builth Wells has supermarket shopping, primary and secondary schools, town hall, art centre, leisure facilities, etc and sits on the confluence of a number of roads including the A470 north to south Wales trunk road, from which there is rapid access to all parts of Wales. Hereford and Leominster with their main line railway stations are less than an hours drive away to the east and south east respectively.
