Owners Comments...

Walking into our home for the first time, we were struck by how bright, light and roomy the house felt. The French doors and skylights in the kitchen/diner facing onto the south facing garden allow natural light to flood the ground floor, even on a cloudy day. As we lived here, we truly came to appreciate the flexibility of this space. With double doors connecting the kitchen and living room, we could choose to create a breezy open-plan area for gatherings or close the doors for a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

The kitchen/diner is a great space for entertaining and in our time here, we've spent time and energy creating an outdoor space to match. We have added a gorgeous porcelain tile patio with plenty of space for outdoor furniture, a landscaped lawn and flower beds, along with establishing a cherry blossom tree, clematis and jasmine to give a nice secluded feel to the space.

Upstairs we have loved the generous bedrooms with plenty of space to host our friends and family, as well as a dedicated dressing room space and en-suite in our sprawling top floor master.

Being 5 minute's walk from the village centre with its Co-Op and community centre, as well as a stones throw from walking in open fields, we really do feel like we've been in the perfect location. We've grown our family here, and have made friends for life among the neighbours. We are sad to be leaving this house, and really wouldn’t be ready to go if it wasn’t for a change in work circumstances. I hope you love it as much as we have.

The Acton by Bloor Homes is one of our favourite designs, thanks in part to the amount of space you get with each room. On top of that, the layout is amazing for entertaining and you get a huge amount of light flooding through the house.

You have three double bedrooms with the main bedroom spanning the whole of the top floor, with fitted wardrobes, a dressing area( or study space!) and a really lovely en-suite.

The downstairs is fantastic with the living room to the front and kitchen/diner to the back, without doubt the focal point of these homes, with so much works space, separate utility and w.c then double doors that open up onto your low maintenance garden, and sunny south facing garden. It's been landscaped with a gorgeous patio area leading off the kitchen and is exceptionally private thanks to the positioning within the development. Additionally there's a carport & driveway parking to top it all off.

Area Comments...

Shinfield Meadows is a lovely location, very central to all your needs and wants. Within a short walk you have plenty of local pubs and amenities in Shinfield village such as Co-Op, post office and the new Crumbs Cafè, which we love, there will also be a small supermarket opening within Shinfield Meadows itself at a later date. Just further up you'll find Dobbies Garden Centre which has a small Waitrose, along with a great butchers and just over the road from this you will find the popular Langley Mead nature reserve, which is great for walks and you also have various play parks close.
There are main bus routes close by taking you into Reading or Wokingham towns and you are just a few minutes from Mereoak Park and Ride or junction 11 of the M4, making it a really well connected location. Not forgetting you now have closer train links with the Green Park station connecting you to Reading and Basingstoke, great for anyone needing to commute to London too.
