The Sellers View...

My parents bought the house in the mid 1970's, it was a brand new build, in a quiet cul de sac, where our neighbour's are very friendly. We moved from a bungalow in Burnham that was on a busy road, facing a community centre that had discos most weekends, so moving to Kelsey Close was so much quieter, plus my sister and I would have separate bedrooms at last. It was also nearer for school as we already went to school in Maidenhead at the Convent of Nativity at the top of Castle Hill.

I remember our dad spending hours in the garden trying to get the perfect lawn, sieving the soil to get rid of the stones, and seeding it by hand. Mum and dad would go to Chelsea flower show buying plants and trees to plant in the garden.

Sadly dad passed away 21 years ago now, mum tried to keep the garden going as best she could, but never the same as dad as he was a bit of a perfectionist, so my sister and I would often go there at weekends to help maintain it for her.

Our mum lived in the property until recently, when sadly this April after a very short illness, she died in the Thames Hospice in Bray, so this is the reason for selling our beloved house that had happy and sad memories for us.
