We moved to Alwyn Road six years ago, looking for a house we could make our own on a quiet residential street in anticipation of starting our family. We fell in love with this house as soon as we walked into it - it is perfectly located in the middle of Alwyn road, meaning there isn't much through-traffic (people drive in from their own ends), and parking is easy for any visitors (we have two parking spaces of our own on our drive). The location is perfect for us - we are within minutes of multiple local primary schools, 5 minute drive to the railway station from where we can get into work meetings in London so quickly and easily since the Elizabeth Line has opened. We are again just a few minutes' walk from the lovely open countryside of Pinkney's Green and Oaken Grove Park - all perfect for our young children and visitors' dog walks! The house itself has a lovely character to it, and we added a large extension to create our dream kitchen/diner perfect for socialising and having the indoor/outdoor blend when opening the large sliding doors to the new decking. We love our garden - having it split into different zones - the low-maintenance, all-weather area straight outside our kitchen, the natural open garden with pond in the middle section, and then the large, private, south-facing decked area at the end - perfect for long summer days and evenings without being overlooked by anybody! We installed a very large garden office long before any enforced home-working, but it has grown with us and continues to work now running an entire technology engineering business from it!

We are surrounded by lovely, friendly, caring neighbours, and have loved all the street parties in both Alwyn and Highfield Road (which we are effectively a part of!). There is a true sense of community in this quiet pocket of Maidenhead.

We're really sad to be leaving this home, but family circumstances have us moving away from Maidenhead, which has been our home for so many wonderful years. We are sure the next owner of this house will love it just as much as we have.
