We were originally drawn by its excellent location adjacent to California Country Park, having spent a lot of time here walking around the lake and visiting the little cafe. The area remains so peaceful and quiet and the property is fortunate to be in a position with direct access to the park.

The house itself has a really lovely welcoming feel to it as you come in through the front door, it’s always felt spacious and airy, and we have spent many summer evenings entertaining with the large garden room doors wide open.

We designed the extension a few years ago mindful that we wanted to have advantageous views out across the park. To our knowledge we are the only house in the area to have this and it’s lovely seeing the sunset on the front side and sunrise in the back over looking the trees and hearing the birds outside the windows.
