Seller's Comment...
Wellesley Drive has just been the perfect place for us to raise a family and we have had such fun here, also many residents join Wellesley Drive later in life. But whatever age you buy at, most folk stay for decades.
We bought the house 30 years ago as it ticked all our boxes – we loved the open light feel to the house, 4 bedrooms and an ensuite with a decent sized garden. Located in a cul-de-sac where there is no passing traffic, children play safely in the road and often you can hear the owls at night.

We added the working fireplace which gives a homely feel (and for Santa to get down!), and extended to include an extra reception room which was great for storage of children’s toys/electronic games, family/friends to stay over and as a study. There is plenty of space to entertain and we have had many summer BBQs for friends and extended family - we love the garden – our children have loved growing their own veggies and picking from the fruit trees/soft fruit bushes.
We enjoy the proximity to stunning National Trust countryside walks, such as Simons Wood/The Ridges/Ambarrow. Crowthorne itself is a lovely vibrant community with a traditional carnival every two years and lots of community groups which all add to the atmosphere that makes Crowthorne such a special place to live.

Living close to the station allows easy commuting to London, Reading, Guildford-Gatwick and further afield and means that you are close to Crowthorne’s best watering hole, The Hive. The Hive (coffee/craft beer and other alcoholic beverages) is a lovely local spot with its own running group and regular quizzes, and is a great meeting place for friends as well as local dog walking and cycling groups. The Hive is also next door to a fabulous Indian restaurant and artisanal bakery.

Ultrafast/fibre broadband has been recently installed into the road and will soon be available, however download speeds are currently great. We fitted solar panels 12 years ago and have benefitted hugely from the electricity we have generated, and we have also installed an eV charging point.

Will and Mike's Comment...
This house is in such a great quiet location, it always says a lot when a family have lived in a house for such a long time. Our sellers have perfectly summed up why not only is this a great house but also a fantastic location with so much green space right on your doorstep.

As you can see this home has some fantastic space on offer both upstairs and downstairs with some great room sizes. The large open entrance hall welcomes you through, it then leads you into the spacious living room complete with a lovely feature fireplace. This also opens up into the bright dining room which has sliding doors connecting it to the patio and sunny rear garden. What we love about this home is the amount of light you get coming through with it's huge windows right the way through.

To the rear the house boasts a refitted kitchen breakfast room with lovely views over the garden. The kitchen itself is an impressive spec with granite worktops, breakfast bar and Rangemaster cooker. As we've mentioned in the video there is the option to take out the wall between the kitchen and dining room to create an open plan space. Our sellers have extended this house to the front to create two further rooms, one of which is a useful utility room with access into the garage the other of which is a versatile playroom/spare-room/study. In addition, there is a further downstairs reception which is currently used as a work from home space. You also have a refitted cloakroom with ample storage underneath the stairs.

Upstairs all of the bedrooms are a good size with three of them being great size double rooms with built in wardrobes. But the master bedroom is our personal favourite boasting an en suite shower room and separate walk-in wardrobe. The family bathroom has been refitted by our current sellers to encompass both separate bath and shower. What you can't see from the photos is the fourth bedroom which is currently set up as an additional home office.

The garden as our sellers have mentioned is not only West facing but a lovely size and very secluded. As you can see from the details it is very mature and a real sun trap in the afternoon, there are wrought iron gates on both sides of the house with side access to the front, where you have driveway parking for multiple vehicles and a double garage is wide enough to take two cars comfortably. If you are looking for a spacious family home in a great location then this really is not one to miss out on, we can't wait to take you on a tour in person.

Area Comment...
This house is in a great location sitting at the end of Wellesley Drive, There are so many great amenities right on your doorstep with a parade of shops just a few minutes walk around the corner including a convenience store, Post Office, restaurants and a couple of great places to get a drink. Crowthorne's train station sits just opposite which takes you into Reading and Guildford. Further on from here and around a 20 minute walk away you have the main Crowthorne High Street which has a great selection of local independent business and a coupe of supermarkets to choose from.

There is a huge selection of great places to eat not far away such as the Bird in Hand, The Crooked Billet and the Rose and Crown. This home also sits within catchment for many of Crowthorne's popular local schools such as Edgbarrow but If you're looking for some green space, there are many popular walks that aren't too far away such as Horseshoe Lake but the closest being Simon's Woods which is a National Trust with acres to explore.
