HISTORY
Cold Harbour sits close to the Roman roads of Ermine Street and the Saltway. In 1824 early Saxon burial Urns and iron spear heads were found at Cold Harbour. Blue Harbour House was for centuries a coaching inn known as The Bunch of Grapes. In 1881 the name changed to Cold Harbour Inn. The name then was changed to Blue Harbour Inn when the Buckminster Estate bought it in 1892. It ceased to be a public house when they sold it in 1958, and it became Blue Harbour House. There is a historic cellar beneath the current stairs.
