Appleby-In-Westmorland, Cumbria

The market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland is located in the Eden Valley of the beautiful county of Cumbria. Appleby is the highest town in England and has the picturesque River Eden running through its centre. The town is full of Georgian and Victorian architecture and is steeped in history, with its cobbled streets, castle ruins and old churches.

The town is known for its annual horse fair, which is the largest in England. Appleby has plenty of amenities, including shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. The area has some of the best scenery in England and is surrounded by the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

The towns of Warcop, Brough and Kirkby Stephen are all close by, giving residents plenty of options for places to live. Warcop is a small rural village surrounded by rolling hills and woodland. Brough is a market town with lots of independent shops and cafes, whilst Kirkby Stephen is full of quaint cafes and restaurants.
