Pontardawe, Swansea, Swansea (County of) is a small town located in the heart of South Wales, within the county of Swansea. Pontardawe has a long history as an industrial hub due to its location on the River Tawe and its proximity to the coal and iron ore producing areas of South Wales. Today, it is best known for its strong sense of community and wonderful green spaces. There are many places to live in Pontardawe, from the picturesque villages of Blaengwrach and Ynysmeudwy to the new housing developments in the town centre and in the surrounding area. The town has excellent transport links, and is within easy reach of Swansea and Cardiff.
