Edrington Castle, Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Northumberland

Edrington Castle is an impressive medieval castle in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Northumberland, England. Built in the 13th century, it stands proudly on a hill looking out over the Tweed Estuary. It was built by the powerful English baron John de Balliol, and is one of the most impressive fortifications in the region. The castle is surrounded by a massive curtain wall, with four towers and a gatehouse, and a drawbridge. Inside, there are two large courtyards, and a great hall. The views from the castle are breathtaking, with the estuary, the sea, and the Cheviot Hills stretching out in the distance.
